Electric Car Charging
With the rising prices of gas and oil, an electric car has become a cheaper, more environmentally friendly alternative to traditional cars. They are relatively simple to operate, and can be installed right in your home. There are different levels of EV chargers, chosen depending on your individual need.
Level 1: Level 1 chargers are 120 Volts/15 Amps, and can plug into your everyday portable and wall outlets, no installation needed. They are ideal for low kilometre drivers, with the time to charge overnight.
Level 2: These chargers are 240 Volts/30 Amps and have to be installed, easily done in a garage or driveway. They typically charge a car in 3-8 hours. These are the most common chargers for those who regularly use their vehicles. We sell and install level 2 chargers.
Level 3: These chargers are 480 Volts/100 Amps, commonly referred to as “super chargers”. They are more heavy-duty chargers, and can easily charge a car in 20-30 minutes. They are not usually installed in homes, but are available publicly around Nova Scotia in various stations. You can click this link to find where these public chargers are located.
